NEW YORK (AP) -- Kansas, which has won the Preseason NIT in its last three appearances, heads the field for 2002 and will have an NCAA tournament first-round rematch with Holy Cross as its opening game.

Basketball Recruiting

Jamar Nutter is planning to take an unofficial trip to Villanova soon, but he's still wide open among his top five schools. The 6-2, 195-pound rising senior from Seton Hall Prep (N.J.) is one of the leaders of the Tim Thomas Playaz team, and gives the team quickness and a quality but streaky - outside shooter in the backcourt. He's also extremely tough, aggressive on taking the ball to the basket and is capable of playing either guard spot, though he projects as a college wing guard. Nutter already has taken unofficial visits to Rutgers and Seton Hall, and also likes Pittsburgh and Maryland.

Fan Feedback

On the new site:

I liked the old site better, and if I knew that finances were a problem, I would have contributed my share to keep your excellent site going. I am on the left coast where Rutgers only appears as a line score among a hundred other football or basketball scores. You have been my lifeline to RU info. Having said that, let us all make the best of the new site. I have kicked in for the paid membership. Go RU!

On the Schiano Interview:

Great job on the interview! I can tell this is going to be an awesome
interview. Going back to the Mulcahy and Shea interviews in particular, you
guys bring information to the web that would never see the light of day on
any other site. You guys are simply the best! Thanks!
