Joe Flacco, 6-5, 205, 4.6, QB, Audubon HS, NJ
Last season while operating out of a wing T formation South Jersey quarterback Joe Flacco threw for a phenomenal 1790 yards and 15 touchdowns. That brought his career totals to over 3000 yards in the air and 23 touchdowns. Couple those stats with a reputation for good vision, a quick release, the ability to remain calm under pressure and a strong arm and it is no wonder that the Audubon QB is pulling in the offers.
As of Sunday Joe had offers from Rutgers, Pittsburgh, UCF and Virginia Tech with interest from Virginia, Maryland and Boston College.
Joe, who is also an excellent baseball player, has no favorites at the present time and considers himself to be wide open as to his choice of schools. "All the schools who have offered me are my favorites right now," he notes. He won't be making the camp circuit this year. He camped last year at Rutgers and liked the campus but he'll be making some unofficial visits this summer and mentions Maryland and Virginia as possibilities.
An All Conference performer and a Second Team All South Jersey, Group Two performer Joe may still be growing. "I might be 6-6 by now" and his ability to use his height and vision to find receivers will make him a hot commodity on the recruiting circuits this season.
Stay tuned as we follow up on Joe's leans and interests as this recruiting story unfolds.
