A new name for Rutgers fans to keep in mind as the summer season heats up is Absegami High School's Brandon Bullock. Bullock is an imposing lineman that helped lead the Braves of Absegami HS to a 10-2 overall record this past year, including a perfect 7-0 in league play (Cape Atlantic – American League). Bullock already has several offers and SOR.com recently caught up with the south Jersey prospect.
, a 6'3 305 pound DT, is a recruit a lot of people don't know about, but most certainly will soon. With 7 sacks, 56 tackles and 4 forced fumbles, Bullock led a defensive line that forced a lot of erratic passes and played in the nail biting State Championship game which they lost in overtime, 32-25, to Cherokee. This year Bullock will look to get his name out by having another great season.
So far, a trio of schools have extended scholarship offers: Rutgers, New Mexico State and Syracuse have offered, along with others taking notice.
"Right now Rutgers, New Mexico State and Syracuse has offered me. I'm looking forward to more offers in the future" stated Bullock. "I haven't thought of a favorites list, I'm taking it slow. I'm going to go through the whole recruiting process."
"The major things I'm looking at to help with my decision are atmosphere and location. Those two things are very important to me. I like the coaches that are recruiting me right now, that's also important to me."
We also talked about Rutgers with Bullock saying, "Rutgers has offered me and I like them a lot, they are doing some great things now."
Bullock has stayed away from the Combine tour this season but did attend the Elite College Combine last year.
