Parr performed well in all the drills, running a 5.03-second 40-yard dash (being bested only by Ryan Haber of St. Joe's Prep, PA) put together a 4.75-shuttle (best among all defensive tackles), and recorded a 30-inch vertical jump.
Several schools have begun to take notice.
"I would say that my top two are Virginia and Michigan," stated Parr.
"I went up there for their Junior Day," said Parr in regards to UVA. "Everyone there treated me very well, like family. The college was really nice. The graduation rate I was told was 96%, which was really impressive."
In regards to his other favorite, Parr stated that "Everyone knows about their football program, I mean, it's Michigan."
Parr has yet to receive a scholarship offer though he did indicate that Virginia seems to be on the verge of extending an offer. For an athletic big man that carries Parr's frame as well as he does, colleges should be knocking on Parr's door sooner rather than later. However, sooner is the operative word as Parr did indicate that he would prefer to make an early commitment, should the right offer come along.
Parr stated that he was set to participate in the Nike Camp this past weekend at Penn State. In addition, Parr will also be attending the Virginia and Michigan camps during the upcoming summer.
