Among Frazier's three home runs on the week, none were bigger than his seventh-inning, game-winning three-run blast to right field to lift Rutgers to a come-from-behind victory over Monmouth on Thursday. He hit home runs in back-to-back days at Georgetown, with a solo shot on Saturday night and a three-run blast to center field in Sunday's series finale.
Frazier recorded a hit in all four games on the week to extend his hitting streak to nine games. He also drove in at least one run in all four of RU's game this past week.
Frazier's three home runs helped give the Scarlet Knights seven on the week, increasing their total to 45 on the season. The home run total ranks as the sixth-most in a single season in school history with four regular-season games remaining before postseason play begins.
He currently leads the team and ranks ninth in the BIG EAST in overall hitting with a .372 batting average, while ranking among the league leaders in seven other offensive categories, including stolen bases (second), on-base percentage (fifth), walks (t-fifth), runs scored (t-fifth), total bases (t-sixth), hits (t-seventh) and slugging percentage (10th). In conference play, Frazier ranks fourth in the league in hitting with a .427 batting average.
It is the second time Frazier has been recognized by the BIG EAST this season, also being named to the league's Honor Roll on April 10. He was a Third Team All-BIG EAST selection as a freshman last season, while earning Preseason All-BIG EAST honors this season.
Frazier's second honor of the year marks the sixth time a Scarlet Knight has been recognized by the conference this season. Left fielder Ryan Hill (Hillsdale, NJ), third baseman Tim Querns (Cherry Hill, NJ) and center fielder Jeff Grose (Iselin, NJ) were each named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while pitcher Steve Holt (Toms River, NJ) and Frazier were named to the league's honor roll earlier this season.
Rutgers (27-22-1, 13-11 BIG EAST) will take its six-game winning streak into a non-league contest with the University of Delaware on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Newark, DE.
