"I believe having the opportunity to be a RB in the SEC certainly has Joe thinking. Vanderbilt is a wonderful school and offers a lot both on and off the field".
But back at home, Joe is still getting a lot of attention from the Scarlet Knights. "As far as RU goes, I know Joe thinks the world of the coaching staff and the opportunity to play in front of his family and friends which is a big factor. But he's still waiting to see what else happens in the recruiting process before making any decisions. I do know that he'd like to have things narrowed down early so he can focus on breaking the rushing record without worrying about where he's going".
With Joe's success in track and field, he was hoping to be a star in the combine circuit. And while he performed well, his stellar track success did not necessarily translate to huge numbers at the combines. "You know what's kind of funny, he only broad jumped 8+ at the combines but he just long jumped 22'6" at the league championships. His vertical was only 28", but this week narrowly missed 6'9" in the high jump. Go figure".
