And recruiters must have seen a combination of speed, athleticism and power in his film that was put on exhibition in his recent football testing. "We just had some testing at school, and I ran a 4.58 and 4.61 forty time and a 4.0 shuttle. Plus I bench pressed 185- 24 times," said Rhoades.
At the moment Rhoades is up to 8 offers, per his coach, but will let the whole recruiting process play out. "I am not leaning in any direction right now. There have been some places that I have been to that I like a lot. But we are going to take a tour of schools this summer to check out places and search for some good fits".
One place that seems to have intrigued Rhoades is West Virginia. "I really like them because I visited them for the spring game, and I just liked the way the coaches operated. Plus, I have a very good relationship with John Maddox, and he pumps the place up a bit".
In terms of Rutgers, "Maddox has also spoken very positively about Coach Galiano. He thinks he is a very good guy. I would be interested in knowing more from him."
As of now, Rhoades has scheduled to go to camps at West Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse.
