The Scarlet Knights upset second-seeded Connecticut on Thursday afternoon. Their reward is a rematch with the the third-seeded cardinals of Louisville this morning at 10AM, in the first of two potential tournament games today for both squads.

Rutgers avenged a sweep at the hands of the Huskies last week and had the last word yesterday as they sent UCONN packing, where they will await word from the NCAA committee on their post-season fate. For Rutgers, the win enabled them to extend their season by at least one game.

Rutgers (29-27-1), who for the second straight day had eight of nine batters registering at least one hit, will face third-seeded Louisville, in a rematch of Tuesday's tournament opener. The game is set for Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. A victory would force a second meeting between the the two teams which will square off again in a 5:00 p.m. game later the same day.

The Big East Championship game will be played on Saturday. Saturday's opponent, against either Rutgers or Louisville, will feature either #4 St. John's (39-18) or #1 Notre Dame, who will battle in one semifinal at 1:00 PM on Friday.

Fans should tune in to the GameTracker featuring live stats during the Rutgers/Louisville contest.
