Rutgers head men’s basketball coach Gary Waters is an assistant coach for the 2002 USA Basketball Men's Junior World Championship Qualifying team that will compete in the Confederation of Pan American Basketball Associations (COPABA) Men's Junior World Championship Qualifying Tournament.
Waters is in Miami this week (July 15-21) attending training camp along with University of Oregon mentor Ernie Kent, who will serve as head coach of the 2002 USA Basketball Men's Junior World Championship Qualifying Team, and fellow assistant coach Bob McKillop of Davidson College

Plain and simple: July is the month reputations are made or broken. The following list of 50 players put themselves in a good position heading into the meat and potatoes of the summer AAU/traveling team and camp circuit. Don't bother memorizing the list because surely it'll change in a few weeks.

Just before taking the floor for his first NBA summer league practice, rookie guard Dajuan Wagner signed his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday.
Wagner, the No. 6 overall pick in last month's NBA draft, will make $2.3 million next season and $10.7 million over four years - per terms of the league's collective bargaining agreement.
