More Top Prospects from RU Camp

During the WR/CB 1-on-1 drills at the recent RU camp, Willy Geter from Pace HS in Miami, Florida seemed to put on a show almost every time he was out on the field. The 5'8 160lb CB has that South Florida swagger and attitude that one loves in a football player.

"I just wanted to come out there and show them that I am a big time competitor. I don't stand down to anybody," stated Willie Geter, by way of Monsignor Pace HS in Miami FL.

Geter is an impressive combination of chiseled physique, strength, quickness, athletic ability, and passion for the game. When he was out there, he competed with a ton of fire and definitely stood out as one of the top corners in the camp. One of his highlights was when locked up in coverage versus Philadelphia's Daryl Robinson. As soon as Robinson (who was on offense) got off the line of scrimmage, Geter completely drove him out of bounce and out of play. This resulted in "oh's and ah's" from the spectators and Robinson to respond with "damn, that boy is strong".

Geter is proud of his performance and hopes that his play will help land him a Rutgers offer. "I unfortunately could not make it to the Dade camp. Being that Rutgers is one of my top schools, I had to come out and play with a lot of heart like I usually do".

Right now Geter lists a top 5 of Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Florida, Alabama and Virginia Tech. He will attend the Georgia Tech camp on July 15. He currently holds an offer from Akron.

Geter is being recruited by coach Darren Rizzi and they have a good relationship. "Coach Rizzi is cool. I call him a lot or he texts me".

Of note, Geter has attended the MSL and Nike combines in Florida. At Nike, he ran a 4.49 forty yard dash and posted a 32" vertical jump. Geter is also one of the top track runners in Dade county posting a personal best 10.6 in the 100M.
