Clark Harris: All-America Honorable Mention

The recognition continues to pour in for Rutgers Tight End Clark Harris. One of only twenty players across the nation to be nominated for the 2005 John Mackey Award, Harris was recently named to the Maxwell Award Watch List, given annually to the Collegiate Player of the Year. College Football News recently named Harris one of the Top 5 TEs in the nation and an Honorable Mention AA.

Clark Harris of the Rutgers University football team was recently named to the 2006 Watch List for the 70th Maxwell Award, which is given annually to the Collegiate Player of the Year. A total of 60 players have been named to the Maxwell Award's Watch List for 2006, and include players selected who have distinguished themselves as All-Conference or All-America selections in their careers. The watch list was announced by Maxwell Football Club President Ron Jaworski, the former great quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Harris was also recognized as the #2 Tight End in the nation according to The Sporting News earlier this spring. recently announced their Preseason 25 Best Tight Ends. Harris, a two-time All-BIG EAST selection who hauled in 38 passes for 584 yards and four touchdowns for the Scarlet Knights in 2005, was named the #5 TE in the nation and a 2006 CFN Honorable Mention All-American.
