Dempsey's Offer List Growing

John Dempsey, a 6'0 196 S/RB prospect from Cardinal O'Hara HS in Philadelphia, PA attended the All-American combine at Rutgers University, participated at the Elite Combine in Randolph, New Jersey, and has since seen his stock continue to soar. Who are Dempsey's most recent offers and where does he stand today?

John Dempsey, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound defensive back from Cardinal O'Hara High in Springfield, Pa. picked up a big offer since last we spoke with him and he is hoping to pick up another soon during a visit to Michigan State.

"West Virginia offered me bringing the total for four," Dempsey said. "I'm pretty confident Rutgers and Michigan State will be offering soon as well too."

"My father and I are going up to Michigan State to meet with Head Coach John L. Smith and Coach Chris Smeland this weekend, so I'm hoping to come back from there with another offer."

Dempsey has offers now from Temple, Northeastern, West Virginia and Villanova and recently camped with the local programs.

"I love the coaching staff at Temple. I think Coach Al Golden is going to turn that program around pretty quickly and there's a lot of talk about it down there, but I want to see it on the field this year. They're intense down there and I get along well with them, plus you get to play at the LINC (Lincoln Financial Field) which would be awesome."

"Villanova is my leader at this point, but I'm very wide open. The education is top-notch, I get along really well with Coach Andy Talley and the rest of the staff and I wouldn't have to red-shirt my freshman year because there's a great situation in the secondary for me to play early. Obviously staying close to home so my family and friends can see me play is an added bonus."
