The Final Four?

Lansford Watson is one of the top Wide Receiver prospects in the nation. Watson recently took an unofficial visit to North Carolina and lists the Tar Heels, Maryland, USC, and another local school as members of his Final Four.

After receiving more than 20 major scholarship offers, five-star prospect Lansford Watson, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound receiver from Abraham Lincoln High in Brooklyn, N.Y. has tapered his list down to three schools. "I have narrowed it down to my final three," Watson began to explain. "They are Maryland, Southern Cal, and North Carolina."

"Rutgers would probably be in there as my fourth school."

Maryland- "Maryland is basically the only school recruiting me as only a tight end. The tight end is a big part of their offense, and they use that position like nobody else in football."

Southern Cal- "They are one of the Nation's premier schools. If you go to USC and you have a successful career, then you are almost guaranteed to be drafted to play in the NFL."

North Carolina- "I just went down to UNC for a visit and I liked what I saw there. They are bringing in a superior offensive class and it would be great to be a part of that."

"I just want to go somewhere that I can create my own legacy, live my own life, and be my own man."

Watson could play WR or be a Flex-TE at the next level. He has a large frame, but is very athletic and can cause match-up problems for defenders.

As a junior, Watson hauled in 53 catches for more than 850 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.
