DE/OLB to visit Rutgers Friday

Anthony Rhoades from West Catholic HS, in the outskirts of Philadelphia, PA, is considered one of the top pass rushers in Eastern Pennsylvania this fall. The 6'2" 240 pounder will stop by New Brunswick this Friday, in order to get a better understanding of what the Scarlet Knights have to offer.

Anthony Rhoades has generated a good deal of interest this recruiting season. And after having a monster Junior season where he tallied 15 sacks and over 80 tackles, it is easy to see why.

And the humble Rhoades is appreciative of the attention he has received thus far. At this point, he is keeping an open mind amongst all his suitors.

"I feel blessed to have all these schools interested in me. I want to try to get to as many campuses as I can this summer in order to gain a better feel for what each program has to offer".

Rhoades has received offers from Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Michigan State.

Rhoades has spent a good amount of time on the road this summer visiting schools such as Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinatti, and Pittsburgh.

"The Cincinnati visit was great. I had a nice meeting with coach Tressel. He said they watched about 40 seconds of my film and that was all they needed to see in order to offer me. Plus they have a real nice campus and facilities. The Pittsburgh visit was very nice as well. They are going to wait a few games before they decide if they will offer or not".

On Friday, Rhoades will visit Rutgers with his head coach, Coach Fluck.

"I have kept in touch with Coach Flood and Coach Galiano. We are set to go up there and check out the campus, the facilities, see how I figure into their plans."

Next week Rhoades will make trips to Maryland, Syracuse, and Georgia Tech. "I am really looking forward to seeing Syracuse. They have done a good job recruiting me. Plus they have a former teammate of mine, Curtis Brinkley, up there".
