OL, As a sophomore Mike graded out at 85% on his blocks. Last year the coaching staff didn't grade out the blocking but Mike averaged 6 pancake blocks per game at center and a tackle

Defensive Position/ Stats:

NG on goal line situations but mainly DT where Mike's job was mainly to clog up the middle

Miami -"They are a national championship team. Coach Shields said that they will offer after the third game."

Rutgers -"I have a friend playing up there, Jerry Andre, and he has told me it is a great place. Rutgers is intriguing because they have great players in New Jersey and I think that they will be in a bowl sooner than later. Things are really looking up there."

Florida - "Coach Zook came down to watch my practice. They are showing a lot of interest. They write me every day. Their assistants come by a lot, they are showing a great deal of interest in me."

Auburn - "I camped at Auburn on June 14th. It is a great environment, a football town. You will always fill that stadium. They are another team that is turning it around."

BC - "The city of Boston is a great city and you get a great education there. My uncle played at the University of Maine and he often goes to Boston and he tells me it is a great city."


"My aggressiveness and my ability to complete a block. My ability to go 110%."

What will determine his choice of school:

"The environment, a feeling that the coaches are honest with me and my family, a good city"

On Rutgers:

Mike told me that Rutgers is definitely in the mix.  He noted, "When it is all said and done it could be Rutgers. They have talent up there in New Jersey they could be very competitive, very fast."
