Aaron Shaw

Aaron Shaw, RB, S, 6-0, 190, 4.56 Monmouth Regional High School

Offer Update

"Wagner and Lafayette have offered. Boston College, Virginia, Syracuse and Rutgers are the Div 1A schools recruiting me. I am also being recruiting by many Ivy league schools."

Current leaders

"Wagner because they have offered me. I am also hoping to pick up offers from Div 1A schools. UPenn is looking at me hard. I was just at their football camps. I like the Ivys. I like UPenn."

Will he make and early decision or a late one?

"I won't make an early decision. It is going to depend on my offers and how I like my official visits. When I make my decision the most important thing is going to be how I get along with the coaches and the players. That is going to be the most important thing."

Camps

I went to the BC camp, UConn and Hofstra. BC was the best because of the exposure you get there. It is a big camp and a lot of people look at you there.

Notes

Last year Aaron played running back / wing back on offense and defensive back on defense. On "O" he gained 480 yards on 80 carries and added another 225 yards on 22 receptions. But is was on defense where Aaron is at home. Last year he had an impressive 95 tackles and 3 interceptions for Monmouth Regional HS but most of all, he is noted for his field savvy. Aaron's greatest strength is his awareness on the field and his ability to hit.

He'll be on the cover the Jersey Shore Sports News when it comes out on September 3, 2002. That issue will feature the best players in the shore area. Among the others featured will be Rutgers' recruit Tre Timbers, Marc Taylor and Derrick Simmons.

Aaron is a national honor society student.
