The Scarlet Knights' victory over previously unbeaten Louisville has warranted an ESPN scheduling change for Rutgers' next contest.

Rutgers Football (9-0,4-0) defeated #3 Louisville on Thursday night, in front of a record standing room only Rutgers Stadium crowd and before a national television audience. The clash of unbeatens drew impressive television ratings and was viewed by 4,642,000 households, based on a 5.0 rating, according to ESPN.

Rutgers' victory - sparked by a Jeremy Ito FG with just :02 left on the clock - sent the Scarlet Knights to victory in front of ESPN's second biggest audience ever for a Thursday night game.

The large viewershipship also marked the game as the highest-rated college sporting event in the New York City market since such measurement of college sporting events began in 2000.

As a result, ESPN and the Big East Conference announced that next Saturday's game featuring Rutgers at Cincinnati will be telecast live on ESPN. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
