Jabaal Sheard on Rutgers

Athletic defensive lineman is a position of need for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. And one of the best in the state of Florida has set-up an official visit for December. Read up on what he has to say about Rutgers and the recruiting process in general.

DE Jabaal Sheard's High School football season is over after a heart breaking defeat in the playoffs to Coconut Creek High School. And thus, the process of setting up official visits now begins. There are four schools in the hunt for his services: Auburn, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and Rutgers. He plans on visiting all of them.

He did have some interesting things to say about Rutgers last game vs. Louisville and the Rutgers program. "That was just a great game. When the time came to shut them down, they just shut them down. They played an incredible game and the defense was just great". In terms of his official visit, Jabaal is scheduled to visit Rutgers in mid-December, but he may be looking to change that date. "I would like to move that date up. I want to get up there sooner so I can see what it's like and how I fit". Jabaal would not name a leader for his services and says he is open to all four schools.

In the meantime, Jabaal starts practice tomorrow with the Hollywood Hills soccer team. He will be a defenseman on the team. Not too often that you see a 6'4" 240lb DE playing soccer, but it is an excellent tool for keeping in shape and working on footwork. SOR will continue to give you the latest updates on this coveted playmaker.
