Craig Parcells, 6-6, 290, 5.1, OL, Millburn HS
Like a lot of offensive linemen Craig has not yet been extended a formal offer. He is being actively recruited by Rutgers, Boston College, Iowa, Maryland and is being told by a lot of schools that they will look at his first few games before the determine whether or not to offer a scholarship. He recently took an unofficial visit to Rutgers and toured the campus campus. "I liked the fact that they are putting an addition on the training facility. They showed me pictures of how it would look after it built. They are doubling the size of the facility. That impressed me."
Boston College - "I visited the school I liked the area, the school and the academics."
Virginia - "Basically the same as Boston College."
Will he make and early decision or a late one?
"I don't have any idea right now. A bunch of schools have said that they will look my first few games and decide on offers. I really don't have any idea right now when I'll decide."
"I have been working on my speed work during the summer and I feel that I have increased my speed. I'll be playing some as a tight end this season."
Although he missed all but 4 games with an injury Craig still picked up 26 tackles, 4 sacks and knocked down six passes. However, college recruiters are projecting him on offense. Last year for Millburn Craig averaged 2-3 pancake blocks a game and while noted as an excellent run blocker he also pass blocks exceptionally well. Last year, in fact, he didn't give up a single sack in the games he played.
Craig is fully recovered from the injury that limited his action last season.
