Offer Update

"I have been hearing from Boston College, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Rutgers. I have been asked to take unofficial visits to smaller schools like Lehigh, Hofstra, Widener and Wagner. I came up to Rutgers for an unofficial visti when I was invited to Junior Day.

Summer Camps

"I went to all three camps at Rutgers. I thought it was awesome. I thought it was intense, we got into things a lot more. There was a lot of competition and people were really pushing each other."

Current leaders:

"Rutgers is number one definitely. I like every thing about Rutgers. Mr. Donofrio is the linebacker coach. He is awesome. He is a really great guy and he would be coaching my position. I like the faciliites and everything else about Rutgers.  I have also  been looking into Boston College a lot and some smaller schools like Lehigh and Hofstra."

Notes

Last season Mike had 110 tackles, 2 blocked punts, 2 blocked field goals, 4 interceptions, 2 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass batted down. That's Mike Hayek. It doesn't stop there as Mike rushed out of his fullback spot for 600 yards and 11 touchdowns.
All those tackles though didn't come from nowhere. On the field Mike is noted for his exceptional lateral movement and his ability to flow to the point of attack. His listed 4.8 forty time is deceptive since Mike has an exceptionally quick first step. Earlier in the summer Mike was timed in the shuttle at 4.26.
