Silvestro to visit Rutgers on Friday

3-star DE/OLB Alex Silvestro heads to Rutgers this Friday for his second official visit. Silvestro took his first visit earlier in the year to West Virginia. "My West Virginia visit was pretty good. I had a good time down there. I am really looking forward to this one this weekend."

At this point, it seems as those 2 schools are his current favorites. "I like the style of play of both schools. They played an incredible game this past weekend. Even though Rutgers did not win the game, they showed the country a lot. They had a chance to win, but came up short. But they played with a ton of heart. With Schiano now staying at Rutgers, things will just continue to get better for the program."

Alex Silvestro also mentioned that he is no longer looking to take a visit to Penn State. "I had the feeling like they wanted me to wait for an offer, but were interested in me visiting. It just made no sense for me. Thus my family decided that I should not take a visit there."

Even though Rutgers and West Virginia are his top schools, Silvestro is contemplating taking additional visits. "My dad just wants to go out and see some places just to be sure. But right now we don't know what those places may be".

Silvestro will receive an in-home visit tomorrow night from Coach Galiano. SOR will keep you posted on any developments in his recruitment.
