Rutgers visitors - 12-8-2006
|1||Anthony Davis||Davis is New Jersey's #1 prospect. At 6'6"-320lbs, he possesses exceptional agility and quickness for a man of his size. At the point of attack, Davis is dominant as shown by his 60+ pancakes as a junior. He holds over 50 offers. However, he is down to Rutgers and Ohio State. His decision will be announced during the US Army All-American Game.|
|2||Keith Newell||At 6'6"-280 with 5.0 forty speed, he was dominant from his DE position. As a junior, Newell registered 7 sacks, 3 fumbles caused, 8 fumbles recovered, and 18 solo tackles. In college, his athleticism and speed could make him a dominant LT. Committed to Rutgers.|
|3||Alex Silvestro||A hybrid OLB/DE. Silvestro is a long and lean 6'4"-220lbs with 4.7 speed and enough athleticism to rush the passer and make plays down the line of scrimmage. He holds offers from South Florida, Minnesota, Rutgers, Iowa, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Duke, and Temple. He has already completed a visit to South Florida and will likely take all of his visits before making a decision.|
|4||Al-Ghaffar Lane||A rangy DE who comes off the edge with great speed and quickness. As a junior, Lane racked up 74 tackles, 14 sacks, and 16 tackles for a loss. Rutgers Commitment.|
|6||Robinson Alexis||Due to the fact that Alexis did not attend any combines and only two football camps (Rutgers and Auburn), he flew under the radar of many recruiting experts. During the two camps that he attended, he impressed their coaching staffs. He recently obtained a qualifying ACT score and committed to Rutgers shortly thereafter. Rutgers Commitment.|
|7||Dontee Nicholls||At 6'2"-290lbs, Nicholls has a rare combination of size, strength, and quickness that makes him one of Florida's premier defensive line prospects. He has completed one visit to South Carolina and has another scheduled to West Virginia. He has stated that he would like to make a decision in late December or early January.|
|8||Jabaal Sheard||One of Florida's top defensive end
prospects heading into the 2006 season. His reported 370lbs bench press
and 4.6 forty enabled him to amass 28 tackles and eight sacks as a junior.
He holds offers from Pitt, Rutgers, South Carolina, Alabama and Minnesota.
Last week, he completed a visit to Pittsburgh. He would like to take all
five visits before making a decision.
|9||Desmond Wynn||At 6'6"-240lbs, Wynn excels both on the football field and basketball court. His athleticism, speed, and dominating performance as a senior has him as a candidate for defensive player of the year in Delaware. Rutgers commitment.|
