From the appearance of the Rutgers' offensive line commitment list, it looks like the Rutgers staff is recruiting more size. Among the biggest recruits on the recruiting board is Richard Muldrow at 6'8"-285lbs. Last weekend, he started taking his official visits with a trip to West Virginia. Currently, he has visits scheduled to Rutgers (12/15) and Penn State (1/18) with possible visits to Purdue and Illinois. But how does he feel about his visit to West Virginia and what are his feelings on his impending visit to Rutgers?
This last weekend, Muldrow visited West Virginia and was hosted by OL Derek Hayes. Among the highlights of the visit was meeting the strengh and conditioning coach, who impressed Muldrow with his philosophy of not utilizing any supplements. This philosophy has resulted in great gains in strenght of the team. Muldrow was also impressed by the academic support team, who's goal is to have every player graduate in four years. They assist the players in creating a plan and routine to enable them to attain this goal. Along with these strong attributes, Muldrow enjoyed the social life and campus. All total he rated the visit a 7 out of 10.
On the weekend of December 15th, Muldrow will visit the campus of Rutgers University. He stated that "this is a visit that I have been looking forward to". On the visit, his father and mother will accompany him. One of the things that is in the Scarlet Knights' favor is his recruiting coach's (Coach Robert Jackson) good relationship with his family and him. Coach Jackson and Muldrow's mother grew up in the same area of Chicago, while Muldrow and Coach Jackson have developed a good relationship.
As far as a decision, Muldrow will take all of his visits before making a final decision. Since his visits extend into late January, his suitors will need to wait until just before the National Signing Day for a decision.
