Muldrow Sr. comments on son's recruitment

Richard Muldrow is one of the best available OL on the East Coast. The prospect from Pennsylvania has a great combination of size and athleticism. Muldrow is as big an offensive lineman you will find in the country. And he also has incredible footwork that have allowed him to excel not only on the football field, but on the basketball court.

6'8 300lb Richard Muldrow has become a very hot recruit in the recent weeks. "Everybody is on him now. Tom O'Brian was recruiting him at Boston College. But now that he is at NC State, he wants him to come for a visit. Butch Davis and the staff at North Carolina really want him to come down. Virginia is still trying to get into the mix. Some of the Midwestern schools as well have come in as of late. Coach Paterno asked that he not commit and give them a chance. We live out near Penn State so we will go down there on January 15. We don't know if we will have any visits after that. We have to wait and see. But this is going to be hard for Richard because there are so many great people that we have been involved with during this process".

In terms of coaching staffs, Muldrow Sr. commented on 2 schools standing out. "We feel very comfortable with the staffs at West Virginia and Rutgers. They both have been very good and genuine to my son. They both feel very highly about him and they would develop him as a person and player".

While many schools are currently involved, Muldrow Sr. was willing to name a leader. "Richard is leaning towards Rutgers. Coach Jackson and the whole staff have been incredible. I have a long relationship with coach Demarest from when we were both on staff at Millersville. They have had an incredible season and are developing a great program. He had a very good visit. Rutgers just seems like a good fit for him". will continue to keep you updated on Richard's recruitment
