No offers as of yet but strong interest from Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia and UConn, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Navy, Army and others

Current leaders

Maryland, Virginia, UConn and NC State, Vanderbilt

Will he make and early decision or a late one?

"I will probably make an early decision. I am pretty sure of the type offense that I want to be in and the type of offense that schools play. I am pretty sure on my favorites and I am just waiting for offers."

On Rutgers

"I am definitely interested in Rutgers. I would like to know more about them, they have been quiet for a couple of years but they are starting to rebuild."

George went to the Virginia and the Maryland football camps this summer. He is 6-3 1/2 with excellent leaping ability. George was All State, All County and All Metro (Baltimore area) and is noted as having an excellent combination of speed and hands. His 15 touchdowns last year were the result of both that and his ability to break tackles once he catches the ball. George will be going to Hollywood Hills HS in Florida this season after transferring out of Caesar Rodney HS in Maryland. Having been in three high schools in the past three years George has not gotten the attention he deserves and his lack of offers shows that. However, George (a full qualifier) will get a chance to prove himself this season. This year playing Florida football he is sure to come under the gaze of dozens of recruiting coordinators who head to the sunshine state each year to recruit. Expect George Smith's name to pop up on the radars of many of the top schools in the east before this season is over.
