During this off-season, Demetrius has been mainly focusing on his weight training workouts in preparation for track. "I am competitive in track. I run the 100M, Long Jump, throw the javelin. It is a sport I take seriously and the training also helps me prepare for football."

While Demetrius is yet to receive his first offer, he is on the radar of many top programs.

"I think Rutgers is very close to offering. I am open to all schools, but I have been there [at Rutgers] a lot and they are my favorite right now," continued Richardson.

Some other schools that have been text messaging him regularly include Miami, Maryland, Virginia, Boston College, Alabama and Purdue. This summer he will attend the Nike and MSL combines as well as camp at Rutgers and Penn State.
