NY TE Taking Visits

Ifeanyi Momah (pronounced ee-FONN-ee), is a big target at 6-foot-7 and 215-pounds. By way of John Glenn High in Elwood, N.Y., Momah has already taken an official visit to Temple and just got back from his latest trip, to Syracuse. On deck for one of the top targets in the tri-state area are visits to an additional pair of Big East schools.

Ifeanyi Momah, the big target by way of John Glenn High in Elwood, N.Y., and recipient of the inaugural Dragon Award - given to the best wide receiver in Suffolk County - amassed 850 receiving yards this past year while catching 47 passes. The big target, standing tall at 6-foot-7 and 215-pounds, already has a number of D1-AA scholarship offers. In addition both Temple and Connecticut have extended the L.I. standout an offer.

Prior to this week, Momah had taken one official visit to Temple. "Their facilities were really nice and I really enjoyed myself there," stated Momah.

Most recently, the NY product took his second official visit to Syracuse.

"I just came back from a visit to Syracuse [Sunday evening]. They're thinking about offering me but they have to wait on some pople first. If not, they would like to grey-shirt me," stated the well-spoken Momah.

As far as his visit went, how did Momah enjoy it?

"I hand a really good time there. I hung out with Arthur Jones. He showed me around a bit. I went to the basketball game and it was a real nice experience," continued Momah.

Momah had a chance to meet with and talk to the Syracuse Head Football Coach and was left impressed by the experience.

Next on the agenda for Momah is his third official, to Connecticut. And afterwards is his fourth scheduled official, to Rutgers.

"They've been on me for a while," said Momah of Rutgers. "I camped there during the summer for a day."

Momah also indicated that while he has no fifth visit scheduled yet, another Big East team has begun making a late push for his services. "I might set something up with Pittsburgh. They've been talking to my coaches."

At this time Momah declares that he has no true leader but also indicated that " ... if I had to choose one, it would be Syracuse."
