Richard Muldrow III doubled Rutgers fans happiness when he committed to the Big East school on the same day as another big recruit Anthony Davis. However, in the past few days, there have been a number of rumors circulating about Richard Muldrow III visiting Boston College. StateofRutgers.com had a chance to talk to him tonight and get all of the information on this rumor.
To put all of the rumors to bed, Richard Muldrow has officially stated that "I am done with recruiting and I am solid on Rutgers. I have not been to Boston College since June when I took an unofficial visit. Today, I had lunch with my recruiting coach in York(PA)". After Muldrow made his commitment to Rutgers, he called all of the schools who were actively recruiting him and informed them that he will be attending Rutgers. Although he has taken these steps to inform these schools of his intentions to attend Rutgers, he still receives correspondence from many of them daily. All of which are disposed of.
Currently, Muldrow is playing basketball for his high school where he is the starting center. He averages over 12 points and 10 rebounds per game. These numbers have been enough to garner some attention a few Division 1 schools.
In preparation for major college football, he has started to lift three times per week along with a scheduled running regime. Once basketball season concludes, he has plans to increase his workouts to five times per week. He plans to redshirt as a freshmen while he lifts, digests the playbook, and adjust to college life. However, he is willing to play as a true freshman if the opportunity presents itself.
