And while Francis was hosted by his 2nd cousin Shawn Tucker, he spent two days getting to know the one uncommitted player on the visit. "Shawn, we used to hang out at his house all the time. I was happy to go up and see him and my coach was able to set him up as my host. It was great to also hang out and get to meet all my future teammates. But I hung out most of Saturday and Sunday with Jourdan Brooks. We just got along really well and he looked comfortable there. I hope he comes. We don't want to pressure him and it is his decision, but he really looked like he fit in with us. I think he is going to pick Rutgers".
Francis recently played in the Dade-Broward All-Star game, and while coming up on the short end of the stick, he had a good showing at the event. "We got beat pretty bad there. But I went out and competed. I had something like 8 tackles in the first half. I was making some plays out there. I was raised in Dade County so I knew a lot of the players on that squad".
And one of the players that impressed him a ton was Antwain Easterling. "He is such a good player. The thing that makes him so good is that he runs hard every play and is so powerful. It is not so much his upper body, but he has very strong legs. We hit each other a few times there and at the end of the game, we hugged, and spoke a little. He was telling me how I was really bringing it and vice-versa".
Francis has been working out at 6AM every morning with a few teammates. He will also participate in track this spring.
