Mason Robinson -- a home run threat

Mason Robinson will make the third straight outstanding RB from the Tri-state area to sign with Rutgers in as many years. Robinson brings even more speed to the Rutgers backfield. His 10.5 speed in the 100-meters and 4.4 speed in the forty gives the Scarlet Knights a home run threat in the backfield.

One of the biggest reasons why Robinson selected Rutgers was the relationships that he developed with Kordell Young and Ray Rice. Robinson stated "it is great to have guys like Rice and Young to learn from them. It was one of the biggest reasons I decided to go to Rutgers. They are so down to earth and they do not feel that they are bigger than the team. Their work ethic is great and it will be great getting a chance to learn from them".

In preparation for the upcoming season, Robinson is working out at Test Sport Club where he is doing speed training and weight lifting. Once he signs his Letter of Intent, he will be going to Rutgers to workout. Although he will be doing a lot of running to prepare, Robinson will still run track to get into even better shape.

Similar to many Rutgers fans, Robinson is excited about this recruiting class. As he states, "the class is unbelievable. It is a whole group of football players who are coming in ready to play and win. When I saw Anthony Davis commit on national TV, I was going crazy". In an attempt to help Rutgers land more prospects, he and Anthony Davis have attended a few recruiting weekends to hang out and talk to the prospects.

As for what Robinson expects from his Rutgers football career, he states that he would like to "develop more as a football player and win some games. I am not worried about my awards, I just want to win and bring football back to New Jersey".

For National Signing Day, Robinson will have an event at his church where various members of his friends and family will attend.

Robinson's message to the Rutgers fans is "get ready, it is going to be a fun ride to the national championship".
