Coach Rotondi discusses Abreu's signing

The State of Rutgers, the way RU Head Coach Greg Schiano envisioned it when he first arrived on the Banks, is taking shape brilliantly. One of the primary reasons for this development are the relationships that have been built with local HS Coaches. Among them, Union Hill Head Coach Joe Rotondi has been instrumental in fostering the cultivation of relationships from the local high school level.

Union Hill Head Football Coach Joe Rotondi is a man known for steering his pupils toward situations that give them the best possibility for success - whether on the field or in the classroom. Athletically, Coach Rotondi has become a dear friend of the State University of New Jersey, known to all others simply as Rutgers. Rotondi initially helped pave the way for then-stud HS lineman Pedro Sosa to a building Scarlet Knights football team and has since seen his star blossom into one of college fotball's elite linemen.

With Sosa only 1 year removed from the NFL Draft, Coach Rotondi's latest stud player was the top overall LB in the state of New Jersey and the #2 WLB in the union according to - Manny Abreu.

At Abreu's signing day announcement, SOR caught up with Rotondi to discuss the significance of the day, Abreu's prospects as he enters his Fr. year at Rutgers, and the current football class assembled by the Rutgers staff.
