"I was nervous and excited about the day. I was just very happy for my family, coaches, teammates, friends and myself. It was just a special and exciting day. I went to dinner with my family to Chili's that night and celebrated."
After signing, Francis wanted to share in his joy with other future Scarlet Knights. So the future Scarlet Knight reached out to his friends and soon-to-be teammates.
"I called Fabian, Jonathan Freeney and Robinson Alexis to see how the day went for those guys. I told them how excited I was. I hope to get together with those guys and get to know them better before we all go to Rutgers."
Currently, Justin is training in track and considering his size for the sport is not what many would expect he maintains a very good attitude towards the sport.
"I am running the 100M and 200M. I am not very good compared to the smaller guys that fly. I may come in last place some times, but I don't care. As long as I am working to get better, that's all that counts. I am also still running on the beach every Saturday morning with my coach".
And so, with sining day come and gone, Francis has already taken on the mindset of preparing for the next level. From running on the beach, to lifting and running track, these are just some of the things that Francis will focus on during the upcoming months as the excitement of his Rutgers preparation continues to peak with his impending arrival to the Banks drawing closer.
