DC Jefferson gains more offers

6'6 230 lb QB DC Jefferson from Winter Haven, Florida continues to garner attention from college coaches. He recently added three more offers, bringing his current total to seven. In addition one ACC school has mentioned to expect one to come in the mail shortly.

As of recently, DC Jefferson held offers from Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss and Washington. Then three more came in the mail. "We got offers from LSU and Florida International, and UCF. He is being recruited by Coach Hinson at LSU. He was at UCF recently for their junior day and had a good time up there. We got the offer from them today" stated Yolanda Lane, DC's mother. In addition, an ACC team has told Yolanda that an offer was on its way. "I spoke to Coach Ryan Day at Boston College and he said to expect an offer in the mail soon".

While it is an accomplishment to hold seven-Division 1 offers that number will dramatically increase after the early evaluation period. "We have been told by some people that it is tough to assess his arm strength on film. But DC has been blessed with an incredible arm. It is just that at this level he tries to throw a softer, more catchable ball and that is what has been seen on film".

DC is currently working with Conditioning Coach Tom Shaw. "Tom is working with him in terms of his speed and conditioning. But he is also working out with some guys that are preparing for the draft. We were told that he was throwing the ball so hard that some of the future NFL guys were having a hard time holding on to his passes. It is good that he gets to compete with those guys because it brings out the best in him.

DC continues to have interest in Rutgers, but an offer has not come yet from the Scarlet Knights.
