Wedderburn impressed by Rutgers

Many of the top prospects from the Northeast area were on hand this past Saturday for the Rutgers Junior Day. And one of the top Tight Ends from the state of Pennsylvania came away liking what the Scarlet Knights had to offer. Below he had some encouraging things to say about the visit.

Mark Wedderburn (6'7 235) is one of the top TE prospects in the Northeast. He visited Rutgers this past weekend for Junior Day and was surprised by what the Scarlet Knights had to offer. "I really liked it up there. I went up there with some family, and they absolutely loved Rutgers. The coaches and facilities were great. We went to the basketball game against Notre Dame. I got a chance to speak with Coach Schiano and Coach Susan and both are very good guys. They have definitely moved up my list".

Wedderburn was scheduled to visit Maryland, but due to inclement weather missed that trip. He hopes to visit their campus soon. He recently received an offer from Michigan and will be visiting Ann Arbor on March 24th.

This spring, Wedderburn plans to attend the Elite combine and the Nike combine in Pennsylvania. He will also spend the spring playing AAU basketball. He is in no rush to make a decision and would like to visit as many campuses as possible to gain a better feel and make a more informed decision.
