LeGrand has a "slight" leader

Eric LeGrand is among the most heavily recruited players in the state of New Jersey. Although he holds four offers, schools like Miami, North Carolina, USC, Florida, and Notre Dame are showing very heavy interest in the 6'2"-235lb LB. There is one school that appears to have a slight lead over the rest of the pack.

According to LeGrand, when asked if he has a leader he stated "Rutgers, kind of...but I'm not fully 100% sure on that. But if I had to choose a school today, it would be Rutgers". LeGrand has definitely developed a good relationship with the Rutgers coaches and players. This along with the proximity to home and the opportunity to have his family and friends see him play accounts for the Scarlet Knights' early lead.

However, there is a lot of time between now and national letter of intent day. Each day seems to bring another possible suitor for the Colonia standout's services. Florida, Notre Dame, Miami, North Carolina UConn and Syracuse have started to pickup their pursuit through increased mailing and contact with his coach. All of these schools seem to be on the verge of offering a scholarship.

Regarding a decision, LeGrand will like to make his intension known during the U.S Army All-American Bowl where he would like to select his school of choice from a selection of hats. Until that time, LeGrand is busy running and weightlifting 4-times per week. During the summer, he will visit a number of schools for unofficial visits including Connecticut, Rutgers, Syracuse, Miami, and Florida. However, he does not have any plans, at this time, to participate in any summer camps.
