I recently got offered by Louisville, Colorado, Michigan State and Mississippi State. I spoke to all their coaches and it was great to speak to them.
He also got a big one from the local Miami Hurricanes as well. I got an offer from Miami today. Coach Barrow text messaged me and I called him back. He gave the news of how excited he was to see my film. He really praised my abilities and thinks I can come in and play early at Miami. He said there is no starting policy. That guys like Kenny Phillips came in and fought for the spot and won it. He thinks I have the potential to be an impact player. He told me he loves my speed and versatility".
While this offer certainly impressed Futch, he is still going to go through the process.
I like Coach Barrow a lot. He is straight to the point and a no-nonsense guy. He even took the time to speak with both of my parents and shared with them about UM's programs both academically and football. He just wants me to work hard, get bigger, and continue to play smart football. And while I like Miami a lot, I want to go through the process. My parents and I agree that I should visit a few schools and see what is out there. I need to fully expose myself to certain schools and ‘feel the right fit'".
Jordan is pleased to receive the UM offer and will attend one of the spring practices in the near future.
Futch is spending the spring going to combines and working out. "My upper body is really developing. I bench pressed 185 for 26 reps the other day. I am also weighing 215 pounds right now. I am just trying to work very hard and stay disciplined and get better".
The charismatic Futch is thinking of majoring in business and investments, but his ultimate dream is to make it to the NFL and later become a sports analyst.
"I watch all kind of events. I am just a competition junkie".
When asked to predict the two upcoming NCAA championship games, he had this to say: Florida plays basketball as if they were playing football. Joakim Noah and Brewer play angry basketball and I dont think Oden has an answer for
them. I think Florida is going to win big. And I think Rutgers is going to smoke
Tennessee. They play smash mouth, blue collar defense, have great athleticism and can shoot the three all day long. Plus there is a fine line between cocky
and confident, and Tennessee is playing with that line. I predict Rutgers is going
to steam roll them.
