Cruz gets visit from Rutgers

Mike Cruz, one of the top TE prospects in the Northeast, is coming off an ACL tear last Novemeber. But that injury has not deterred some of the top programs in the country from offering.

The early Pittsburgh commitment, had de-committed recently. He wants to take all his visits and make an informed collegiate decision. "Pittsburgh was great at all, but I need to visit some places to make sure of where I want to be the next four years. The only two places I have been to are Pittsburgh and West Virginia. And I thought West Virginia was absolutely beautiful".

Several schools have been in to visit in the recent days. One of those schools was the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. "Rutgers came in today. They have offered. They are one of the schools I would like to take an official visit to".

To Mike Cruz, a college atmosphere and a good fit are things he is looking for when making his decision. "I like some of the southern schools a lot as well. I think the atmosphere at places like Clemson and Florida State could be pretty cool. I have text messaged with Coach Trickett before and they are a school I would also like to know more of".

Cruz will not attend any camps this summer. He intends on continuing to work out, and develop as a route runner.
