Timothy Wright, a 6’4 205 lb WR/S prospect from Wall HS in New Jersey currently lists offers from UConn, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Syracuse, and Temple. The explosion in offers he attributes to a strong performance at the Elite Combine. “I did not expect to be recruited like this. I went to Elite and did really well and my attention from schools just increased”.

Timothy Wright participated at WR and DB at the event. “I think I showed some coaches that I could play both. I consider myself a WR, but am willing to play any position once I get to college. I consider myself a team player who loves the game and want to be a contributor”.

Last season, Wright had 40 tackles and 2 Interceptions while playing Safety and CB. On offense, he had over 700 yards rushing. He also played WR, and both punt and kickoff return. He states he clocked in at a hand timed 4.45 last year.

He has thus far taken unofficial visits to Connecticut and Rutgers. “UConn has great facilities and I liked the coaching staff up there. Rutgers was a real nice place. I liked the coaches and facilities there. My dad was especially impressed with the head coach”.

Many schools came through Wall High School this spring. One coach who has made an impression is Mark D’Antonio from Michigan State. “The Michigan State Head Coach came out here. We have spoken. He just seems like a real straight shooter. I liked him”.

Wright does not have any leaders at this time. “I am open to anyone that has come and offered me. I feel honored that schools have given me this opportunity. I just now need to look at the schools in more depth. Get to know the coaches better. I am hoping to visit about five schools unofficially this summer. I am probably going to camp at Rutgers, perhaps Maryland. I’ll know more after I visit the schools and take my visits”.

Wright is already qualified academically.
