Wright posted some modest offensive numbers his junior year. Playing receiver and running back Wright was able to rack up around 1000 yards rushing and receiving with 7 touchdowns, on defense the coaches at Wall high school used Wright at free safety in order to maximize his abilities.
Wright had an excellent year in 2006 on the hardwood, but a injury cut his junior year down to only 3 games a disappointment for Wright but it gave him a chance to focus on preparation which turned out to be a blessing. Even though Wright is expected to be the starting wing man at Wall this year Wright might consider passing up basketball this year so he can concentrate on getting stronger. He wants to improve on his bench press a reported 235 pounds and squat as of right now sits at 390.
2006 was not a good year for Wall high school as they posted a record of 4 up 6 down, Something Wright feels that as a senior he must shoulder and he is ready to lead by example.
Wright went into the 07 season with hopes of putting his name out there, A job well done as colleges have kept his mail box over stuffed with letters stemming from Maryland to Syracuse and everybody in between. Schools such as Rutgers, Cincinnati, Boston College, Connecticut and Michigan have all offered.
Wright has plans of camping at Rutgers this summer he camped at Connecticut last year and says he feels at home at both universities.
Wright has no idea what he wants to major in at college so he will listen to what everybody has to offer while on his recruiting visits, so a early verbal is out of the question there for they will have to wait till February for his announcement.
