Christian Wilson, one of the top prospects in the state of Pennsylvania and a coveted recruit with over 50 offers, recently took a visit to Rutgers. My 12-year old brother went to the camp. So I also got an opportunity to check out the campus with my dad and meet the coaches. My dad really liked them a lot. I liked it there.
The Scarlet Knights made such an impression that Wilson has placed Rutgers in
his top 5. I thought the campus was real nice. It had several different
sections that were diverse. Some parts had a campus feel, whereas others had a
city feel. But most of all we spent our time over at the Hale Center with Coach
Susan and Coach Schiano.
And the Scarlet Knights laid out a nice plan for Wilson. They made me feel
wanted. They are open to where they would play me. They discussed TE and H-back
on offense, as well as LB on defense. I have no preference to where I play. I
just want to get on the field with a players that I relate well with, and I want
to feel comfortable with the coaching staff. At Rutgers, I got to spend some time
with Shamar Graves, Brandon Renkart and Kevin Malast. They were cool guys.
Wilson lists a top 5 of UNC, Michigan, Rutgers, Clemson and Virginia Tech. He
remains open to his top 5. I have visited all the schools and each one has
something special to offer. I am hoping to sit down with my family and make a
decision before the end of the summer. But if I am not ready at that time, I am
open to waiting and taking my official visits.
