Florida RB liking Rutgers

Fort Meade's [FL] Onterrio McCalebb participated in the Rutgers camp earlier in the summer and has since been to additional camps as well. Regarding his experience at Rutgers, McCalebb left no doubt about his feelings: "It was a good camp. I like them."

Fort Meade’s Onterrio McCalebb participated in the Rutgers camp earlier in the summer. “It was a good camp. I like them. They are my top school right now. I am being recruited by Coach Demo. The coaches treated me well. They showed me a lot of love. They basically told me that if I come in and lift weights and work hard, that I’ll get on the field. I spent time at the camp with DC Jefferson and Malcolm Johnson. They are both from my area. I know they like Rutgers too“.

McCalebb’s biggest strength is his speed. He got a chance to display it at the recent Auburn camp. “I did well. I ran a 4.35 up there. Everything went real good up there”.

Up next for McCalebb are potentially two more camps. “I am discussing it with my coach. We are looking at going to Clemson and West Virginia”.

McCalebb will be narrowing it down soon and hopes to make a decision by the middle of the year.

“I am at a top 10 right now. Those schools are Rutgers, Auburn, Clemson, West Virginia, South Carolina, South Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. All of them have offered. I want to narrow it down to a top 5 by next month. And then hopefully have a decision by the middle of the year”.
