Jones has 4 offers and looking for more

Winslow Township high school has gotten a gem in physically gifted athlete Brandon Jones for a full season, (Jones sat out most of 2006 because of the transfer rule in New Jersey) Jones only took part in 5 games last year after transferring from power house St. Augustine high school. The 6' 1"-175 lbs wide out Jones still managed to catch 35 passes for 630 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The rise of the catholic schools has made transforming an art and 2007 is no different, players change teams for a variety of reasons. One school that has benefited from a transfer is Winslow Township high school. Winslow has gotten a gem in physically gifted athlete Brandon Jones for a full season, (Jones sat out most of 2006 because of the transfer rule in New Jersey) Jones only took part in 5 games last year after transferring from power house St. Augustine high school. Jones list personal reasons for his transfer and wants to go on record to let everybody know it had nothing to do with existing competition at St. Augustine. Jones feels both teams have plenty of great athletes and is friends with a lot of those players, he even wants to be roommates with a couple of them if he can at the next level.

Last year Winslow finished with a 6-4 record. This year with no less then 7 D-1 prospects including Tyrone McBride and Ruben Johnson ( Two guys looking to possibly do a package to the same college) Jones and his teammates have taken on a state championship are bust attitude around camp this year.

Jones list himself as an above average athlete when it comes to strength, his list his bench right now at around 275 pounds and has been squatting in the 350 range he can do a power & clean of 185 pounds.

Jones is an avid basketball player averaging 13 points, 6 steals, 6 assist and 8 rebounds per game form his point guard position.

Jones has a short list of teams he would like to spend the next four years at and they are his childhood favorite North Carolina, his father and former coach John Bunting are close friends and Jones has spent a lot of time on campus there, Virginia he took an unofficial visit there and fell in love with the campus, plus their academics are top notch, coach Al Groh had a person to person talk with Jones, Maryland because a close friend Antwan Perez just transferred from USC and has told Jones great things about Maryland, Jones list Pittsburgh as a team of interest for their layout and closeness to home.

Jones has some offers from Villanova, Eastern Michigan, Temple were he camped last year. He hopes to put up big numbers his senior year coupled with the forty-time of 4.6 he posted at the Temple camp will be enough to get him offers from the top level programs he seeks.
