Anthony Davis gets his career underway at RU

Anthony Davis, the stellar five-star recruit by way of Piscataway HS, began his Rutgers Football career Thursday night in the Scarlet Knights season-openening victory versus Buffalo.

Displaying great footwork for a man his size, coupled with tremendous raw power, it was easy to see quite early on that Anthony Davis would become one of the most coveted recruits in the nation. When it was all said and done, the Garden State standout decided to stay home, and continue his education and football career at Rutgers.

On Thursday evening, Davis officially began his football playing career, donning the Scarlet and White for a collegiate game in front of a sold-out Rutgers Stadium, the 3rd highest attended contest in Piscataway. Despite it being his initial collegiate performance, Davis showed flashes of brilliance - at least on one occassion he placed his opposing D-lineman flat on his back and displayed why he is no ordinary true freshman. His athleticism and immense size have to put the Big East opposition on notice - immediately.

Following the conclusion of Rutgers' 38-3 season opening victory against Buffalo SOR briefly caught up with Davis:
