Mike Teel had another 250-yard+ performance, completing 14 passes out of 19 attempts. Teel also threw for 3 TDs, one each to TE Shamar Graves, RB Ray Rice, and WR Kenny Britt.
Teel's lone error during the young season so far was a pass he left too high for Tiquan Underwood, which was tipped and subsequently intercepted. That aside, 2007 has so far presented the evidence of Teel's continued progress. The former Don Bosco Prep star has completed better than 71% of his passes and thrown for 594 yards. Impressively, his TD:INT ratio is 5:1 through the initial pair of contests of the 2007 campaign, in stark contrast to the beginning of 2006.
Teel has managed the game calmly and efficiently, has been able to throw the quick outs with perfect execution and timing through the season's two games, and has also demonstrated the big play ability of the Rutgers offense by means of his arm strength.
Against Navy, Teel completed 74% of his passes including a 53-yard pass play to So. WR Kenny Britt that went for a score.
Teel talked about his performance, that of his talented WRs and much more after Rutgers moved to 2 and 0 on the season.
