Where does RU Stand with Telemaque?

Vaughn Telemaque, a 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Safety from the golden state of California, saw his recruitment pick up steam during the latter half of this past summer and into early fall. 'VT', as he is affectionately called by those who know him, picked up several quick offers from the likes of North Carolina, Boise State, Michigan, Rutgers, and Oregon. Most recently VT picked up another.

Vaughn Telemaque, by way of Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California, has seen a tremendous increase in his recruitment over the last 4-6 weeks. First North Carolina of the ACC Conference came through with an offer. Shortly thereafter, Boise State, Oregon, Michigan, and Rutgers extended the 6-foot-2 and 190-pounder scholarships. And just last week, Ole Miss jumped into the mix as well.

"Recruiting is going pretty good. I just got another offer last week actually. Ole Miss offered," stated Telemaque, often referred to as VT by those who know him best.

VT maintains his list of schollies as his list of favorites at this time and states that he intends to take all his five visits before finally reaching a decision.

That first visit, to the University of Michigan, is coming this weekend. VT will travel to UM and see the Wolverines take on Notre Dame.

Though Michigan's allure as a storied program remains, VT as many others have been, was somewhat surprised at the recent turn of events surrounding the Big 10 program's 2007 campaign thus far.

"I watched some of the Michigan/Oregon game. I was kind of disappointed at how they [Michigan] played. It was just kind of unexpected," stated VT.

Following his visit to Big 10 country, VT is scheduled to trip to North Carolina where the Tar Heels will take on Miami. These previously mentioned are the only two official visits scheduled thus far.

Where does VT stand in regards to the lone Big East program to extend a schollie?

"I haven't seen any of Rutgers' games this year but I've seen highlights of their games against Buffalo and Navy. They looked pretty good and I can't wait to see them go up against some really good competition. I'm hoping to come up to visit when Rutgers plays West Virginia, but I haven't heard from them yet so we'll have to see."

On the gridiron, VT's squad is 1-1 thus far on the young season including an impressive performance over Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville in Kirk Herbstreit's Ohio versus the USA Challenge.

"I played pretty well against the team from Ohio. I did misjudge 2 interceptions, but I had several tackles and we won 21-13."
