Auburn commit will take visits

George Baker is one of the most explosive players in the nation. Considered a bit raw and certainly under the radar coming in to this recruiting season, Baker showed elite athletic abilities in combines this summer, running as fast as a 4.37-40 yard dash and a 39" vertical.

Baker committed to Auburn after his visit this September for the Auburn-Kansas State game. "Coach Gran has made me feel very wanted and has recruited me hard to Auburn. When I went up there, it was wonderful so I committed. I am still committed to Auburn, but am going to take my visits"

Baker know of two schools to certainly get official visits. "I am definitely going to LSU and UCF. Both of them have offered me and I speak to those coaches every week. Coach Mack at LSU thinks I can fit in well up there and likes my athletic ability. Coach Kelly at UCF is a great coach and an easy man to speak to. I like him a lot as a person. I am looking forward to going up there and seeing what they have to offer".

Some other schools in the mix are Rutgers, Miami and Florida. "Rutgers offered me. I speak to Coach Demo once a week. He just called earlier today and wants me to come up for a visit. He is real cool and we get along pretty good. I am considering them also".

"At Miami, Coach Nix calls every other week. I like them a bit. And Coach Holliday from Florida is recruiting me also. He treats me pretty good. But neither Miami nor Florida have offered yet."

In 6 games, Baker has rushed for 748 yards on 104 carries and 8tds. On defense, he has approximately 30 tackles and 2 ints. "My year on defense has been a bit quiet. Most teams won't throw my way cause they know I'll make them pay for it".

Baker's team is 5-1 on the season and plays Miami Gulliver Prep 6-0 next week.
