Boatman starts to schedule visits

One of the positions prized by college recruiters is interior defensive line. Players who have the size, toughness, strength and quickness to succeed playing in the trenches are not easily found. DT Cory Boatman has caught the attention of a number of programs along with holding offers from a few of those schools.

Boatman holds scholarship offers from Syracuse, Rutgers, Cincinnati, and Miami (Ohio). From these schools, Boatman states that Cincinnati is his favorite. He likes the environment of the Ohio-based school along with the fact that their criminal science program is ranked number 6 nationally. In addition to these factors, he also has a lot of family in Ohio which allows him to feel even more comfortable with the school.

Although Cincinnati is his favorite, he stated that Syracuse has been recruiting him the hardest. Boatman feels that Syracuse is a building program with a good coaching staff and solid academics.

But, what about the Scarlet Knights? Boatman states that "it is a great school...I like it a lot". Among the things that he likes is the campus and the school's academics.

After the football season, Boatman plans on taking his official visits to Rutgers, Cincinnati, and Syracuse. He is not sure when he will make his final decision but he will likely complete all of his visits before making a decision.

SOR will continue to follow Boatman's recruitment.
