LeGrand readies for his official visit

Eric LeGrand was among the first players to commit to the Scarlet Knights for the 2008 recruiting class. With his season over, he is now ready for his official visit. See what he has to say about his season, the Rutgers season and possible additions to the class.

With a loss to Scotch Plains-Fanwood in the first round of the New Jersey playoffs, Rutgers commitment Eric LeGrand played his last high school game for Colonia H.S. His team fell short of their goal of a state title. However, LeGrand concluded the season with over 100 tackles from his LB position and rushed for 852 yards from his FB position for another outstanding individual season. These numbers will likely be enough to gain a nomination to an All-State team. But he has already netted an invitation to the New Jersey-New York All-Star game.

Now that the football season is over for LeGrand, he has been focusing on his academics. His focus has paid off with being named to the honor roll and a jolt to his GPA. He hopes to continue his progress for the remainder of his educational career particularly at Rutgers.

On the weekend of December 7th, LeGrand will make his official visit to Rutgers along with Art Forst, Scott Vallone and Brandon Smith. The visit will officially restarting his recruitment of other top prospects to join him at Rutgers. Earlier this year, LeGrand helped convince Art Forst to give Rutgers his verbal commitment. With Brandon Smith taking his official visit on the same weekend, Smith will be among the first prospects he will discuss joining him at Rutgers.

For now, LeGrand is hoping that Rutgers ends up in a good bowl game preferably some place warm.

He has a message for the Rutgers fans "Keep Chopping" and "Stay Strong" as the future is brighter than you think.
