One of the best and most recruit players in the state, Claude "Turk" McBride (DE, 6'4"-220lbs, 4.5 forty) has started to setup his visits. Currently, he has over 25 scholarship offers from schools all around the country. Although he regards himself as being "open", he lists UCLA, Miami, West Virginia, Iowa, North Carolina, Michigan, Virginia, and Rutgers among his favorites.
He has setup visits to UCLA on October 26th and Michigan on December 13th. He is not ready to put a timetable on when he will make the selection of his remaining three visits. In order to concern on his senior year, he plans on waiting until the season is over before he will makes any more plans.
What about Rutgers?
Since he is "open", he says that there is a chance that he will visit. He stated that the recent record does not bother him. The opportunity to obtain a good education is his first priority, football is second. He plans to major in Pre-Law and pursuit a Law degree after his playing days are over.
What is he looks for in
He is looking for a "home away for home". Distant does not matter to him. What matters is how comfortable he is with the atmosphere, the coach, and the program.
How did he perform in his
McBride had a TD on a 30-yard fumble recovery, 2 punt blocks, 2 force fumbles, 7 tackles, and 2 sacks. His team triumphed 24-14 over Timber Creek High School.
