High School Performances
Matt Dicken had another sensational game in Lower Townships 36-13 win over Holy Spirit. Dicken ran for 232 yards on 22 carries and had two touchdowns. In addition to that Dicken had a 96 yard touchdown called back on a penalty. Dicken now has now has 935 yards on 123 carries( 7.6 avg.) and 7 TD's. Dicken plans to take an unofficial visit to Rutgers for the Temple game.
Ira Gilford carried 23 times for 230 yards and three touchdowns in Hoboken's 36-13 win over Snyder.
Greg Olsen had 4 catches for 96 yards and three touchdowns in Wayne Hills 35-0 win over Northern Valley.
Joe Kedra had 12 tackles and two forced fumbles leading Camden Catholic to a 10-0 win over Camden Wilson.
Despite being sacked 10 times, Hun quarterback Chris Malleo threw fof 217 yards and ran for 71 more in a losing effort to Peddie Prep. Billy May had 7 catches for 145 yards for Hun in that game.
Out of state:
Kenton, Ohio, quarterback Ben Mauk threw for 469 yards to break the national high school career passing yardage record.
Mauk needed 215 yards to break the record, and he threw for 293 yards in the first half alone. He finished 24 of 37, threw four touchdowns and ran for a score as Kenton (7-2) beat Ottawa-Glandorf 33-32. His career total is 14,712 yards.
Ron Williams (Florida) rushed for 310 yards on 17 carries and scored five times to lead American Heritage Delray to a 41-14 victory over Holy Trinity on Friday.
